Small placement.
Clear rules.
A completed placement is one uninterrupted, eligible minute. That sentence does a lot of work, so here’s exactly what it means.
Reserve
When a funded, approved campaign matches, the server reserves one minute for a connected device. Loading a creative alone never bills the advertiser.
Render
The full approved creative must be present and conservatively considered visible. The Mac app confirms its local state before the minute begins.
Count
The app sends bounded progress signals while the Mac is awake, unlocked, recently active, online, and still eligible. A pause or interruption ends the attempt.
Settle
At 60 seconds, AdBar checks the lease once more. Accepted minutes debit advertiser media and add participant earnings in one transaction.

We measure a device state.
We don’t measure attention.
These signals help AdBar apply a consistent counting rule. They cannot prove what a person was looking at, and we never inspect the rest of the device to try to prove it.
